About Anna

I am a creative and driven individual, with a passion for literature and learning! I love to support young people to pursue their literary interests, and find great satisfaction in seeing the academic and creative confidence of my students flourish!

About the lesson

Having recently graduate from Oxford with a First-class degree (ranked within the top 5% of my year!), I am able to offer expert guidance on English Literature, as well as writing-skills, revision techniques, and learning strategies. I am an experienced tutor, and have delivered both group lessons and one-one-one sessions to A Level and GCSE students. Past students have seen significant improvements in their performance under my guidance, and have commended me for my 'fun, curious, and enthusiastic' approach to teaching.

My values and approaches:

I like to make sure that my sessions have an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, so that my students feel confident and happy. I am receptive to the individual learning styles of every student, including any neurodivergent learning needs.

I have developed strategies and tactics to help make overwhelming tasks feel structured and manageable. I show students how to break down content into digestible and clarified points that can be easily memorised. I have created a number of revision aids to which my students are welcome to use, and past students have found these resources extremely helpful in preparing for exams.

I like to nurture the creativity of my students, by encouraging them to make exciting connections between contexts, concepts, and texts!

I offer hour-long sessions online, including a free taster session! While I specialise in English, I am happy to help any humanities students with their writing-skills and revision technique!
