About Athena

I am a recent graduate with a 1st Class Honours in Mathematics. Throughout my life I have assisted my friends and their siblings, and helped them achieve great results at all stages of their education. I learnt from a tutor I had that maths can be easy if it is explained in the right way. If you’re struggling with maths and want the concepts explained to you in a simple and effective way, please don’t hesitate to get in contact to discuss your requirements and book your free first lesson.

About the lesson

I am able to tutor any age and ability with flexible working hours during the week and weekend. I will provide a personalised approach to your learning and always aim make our sessions enjoyable and targeted to your curriculum so that you can take the most from them.

Teaching strategy:
- 1st lesson FREE: During this session, we will get to know each other, I will tailor our topics to your curriculum and ask you about the main areas you’d like to improve.
- Every 3 weeks I will provide a test to do outside of our lesson. This will test your understanding of the topics we’ve covered and allow me to check on your progress.
- We will aim to get slightly ahead of you school class so that you can take the most from your school lessons and not be held back by misunderstanding.
- I am patient and won't move on to the next stage until I’m satisfied that you fully understand the topic.

She gives you her full attention and is friendly and fun to be around, which makes the learning fun too.
