About Ashleigh

Hello, I am a recent First Class Honours geography graduate, with experience tutoring, mentoring and supporting both primary and secondary school students in the past. Students I have worked with have been very successful in their target exams and assessments and have gained skills such as general improved confidence. I am reliable, trustworthy and approachable, and can easily relate to students needing some extra support as I remember how stressful academia can get. Each tutoring session I deliver is specifically tailored to the needs of the student, and are updated accordingly as we progress through the subject material.

About the lesson

I am able to provide lessons to any stage of education up to university. The way I approach tutoring at any level is by first establishing the learning style, aims and objectives for my student. This is important as it gives me an idea of resources that I should use to help my student to achieve their full potential. For example, a practical learner may benefit more from a more discussion based activity, whereas a visual learner may benefit more from other techniques such as posters/ revision cards or mind maps. Each session is logged with notes of successes, and things to improve in order to keep a record of progress.

Details

Lessons are £15/hour for KS2, KS3 and GCSE and £20/hour for A Level and £30+ per hour for degree level, depending on what specific work you need help with. Should you need to cancel, I require 24 hours notice.
