About Ella
I studied English Literature, French and History at A-level, achieving 3 As. I read History at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with first class honours. I then studied at Columbia University in New York, achieving a Masters degree in Global Affairs. I have worked with younger students to improve their reading and writing skills and also have experience tutoring for GCSEs and A-levels.

I believe developing a student’s confidence is highly important and so I always aim to be encouraging and supportive. I ensure that I understand the requirements of the curriculum or examination board to maintain focus. I also understand the importance of variety to retain engagement. I often encourage my tutees to explain concepts back to me to consolidate their understanding.
