About Serika (Ba, Cambridge)

I believe there is much joy to be found in the study of English and English literature. I got an A* for my English Literature A Levels and the highest coursework grade in my school and have taught around 250 hours worth of English to students at all levels so I am very well-qualified to teach it :)

About the lesson

I aim to make my lessons as engaging and accessible as possible. I will first assess what aspects need to be worked on, and cater your tutoring session to your needs, such that you can get the best results possible. I specialise in teaching English as a Second Language, but have a variety of interests and specialisms.

I also have a lot of experience with editing, so I would be happy to go over any essays you have for any subject and help you polish them to perfection. A lesson with me will typically be an hour long, and will be on Zoom.

Serika helped me out extensively on many English assignments, truly displaying her mastery over the language while also being a very effective tutor. She’s patient and adapts to different teaching styles, always trying to connect with me so that we can deliver the best results together. She constantly brings energy to each session, and makes even the most banal subjects highly enjoyable. I highly recommend Serika as a tutor.

I am so lucky to have her as my daughter’s tutor and highly recommend her to others.
