Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the position of Private Law Tutor at [Institution's Name]. With nearly nine years of combined experience in legal practice, lecturing, and academic research, I am confident in my ability to provide high-quality instruction to students and support them in achieving their academic goals.
I hold an LLB and an LLM from Girne American University Cyprus, where I graduated with first-class honors and a 4.0 GPA, respectively. I was called to the Nigerian Bar and practiced law for over three years in a common law jurisdiction. Since 2022, I have been a full-time law lecturer at Cyprus Science University, where I successfully guided students through complex legal concepts and mentored them in both coursework and practical legal skills. Additionally, I am currently pursuing a PhD in law at Victoria University of Wellington, focusing on the intersection of press freedom and legal protections.
My practical legal experience, paired with my academic achievements, has given me a comprehensive understanding of various areas of law, including commercial law, contract law, and international law. As a tutor, I am dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment, tailoring my teaching style to meet individual student needs, and helping them grasp difficult concepts with clarity and confidence. I am particularly skilled in teaching law courses such as LAW 122 and LAW 123, and I am passionate about supporting students at all levels of their legal studies.
