About Chidi
I am a First Class Computer Science graduate and will be starting an MSc in Data Science and Analytics this September. I studied Computer Science at both GCSE and A-level, achieving an A at GCSE and an A* at A-level, before continuing the subject at university.
I also benefited from tutoring myself during secondary school, which showed me first-hand how valuable personalised support can be when a student is struggling with a topic or needs a different explanation. During my degree, GCSE and A level studies, I often found myself helping friends prepare for exams by breaking down topics they found difficult and explaining them in a way that made them easier to understand.
I particularly enjoy finding different ways to explain technical concepts until they click, and this is one of the main reasons I am interested in tutoring. I want to provide the kind of supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their understanding.
As someone who has recently completed a Computer Science degree and is now progressing to a master's in Data Science and Analytics, I am still closely connected to the subject and understand the challenges students face when preparing for GCSE and A-level exams. My aim is to help students build both their understanding and confidence in Computer Science.

My lessons are tailored to each student's current ability, goals and areas of difficulty. I aim to make Computer Science clear and approachable by breaking complex topics down into smaller, manageable ideas before applying them through questions and practical exercises.
A typical lesson will last 1 hour and can include explanations, programming exercises, exam-style questions and past-paper practice, depending on what the student needs. I encourage students to work through problems themselves, with guidance where needed, rather than simply giving them the answer.
For students preparing for GCSE or A-level exams, I can also focus on exam technique, identifying areas for improvement and practising how to approach different question types.
I teach both GCSE and A-level Computer Science and can adapt lessons for students who are building their confidence as well as those aiming to achieve higher grades.
