About Lakshana
Hi there! I’m Lakshana and I’m passionate about helping students excel in STEM.
- I’m a first class graduate in biosciences from Durham University, with modules in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology and statistics.
- I am a fully trained tutor through the Durham University volunteering Scheme who was a proven track record of helping students achieve top grades in GCSE maths, biology, physics and English and A-level Biology
- Despite having a successful masters application to further my studies at Imperial and UCL, I am taking up a fully funded PhD student ship with Proctor and Gamble at Newcastle Univeristy and so can bring real world applications and insights to my teaching.
- I’ve also had internships at Unilever and Proctor and Gamble
-Outside of my academic life, I play for Durham University Badminton team representing the university at BUCS.

During my lessons we will cover sections of the content the student is struggling on and work through practice exam questions to consolidate their understanding through application. I will also provide extra material for the student to have a go through and to become confident with. Having achieved 9s in maths and sciences and at GCSE and A* in all A-level math chemistry and biology I can provide you with the exam technique that is needed for those grades. This is a safe and judgement free space and I cannot stress how important questions are to learning. So ask at any point and if something crops up at home - just pop me a message.
