About Prabrup

As a data scientist, my job is to gather and analyse data. From that, improve upon my current methods. Tutoring is no different. From my extensive experience tutoring over 30+ pupils, I have found many common weaknesses and the most effective teaching styles. These make up my teaching style. With this, I find more and more of my students achieve great things come exam time. All students learn differently however I fundamentally believe a successful student holds the following: - Willingness to work hard - Appetite for challenge - The want to succeed with their future I enjoy enlightening students with methods to succeed in exams, learn the right way, and enable them to go on to do great things. About the lesson

Teaching Style & Methodology I focus on deep understanding rather than rote learning. My lessons are interactive and student-led – I don’t just lecture, I ask questions, encourage problem-solving, and guide students to make connections themselves. I specialise in breaking down complex, abstract concepts into simple, clear explanations with real-world examples from engineering and data science. I also use active recall, exam-style questions, and step-by-step methods to ensure students can apply knowledge confidently in exams. Lesson Structure & Length A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, with some students opting for 90 minutes if they want more intensive support. I usually begin with a quick recap/test of previous material, then dive into the main topic with guided practice, and finish with exam-style questions or revision techniques. Qualifications & Experience First-Class Engineering graduate from Loughborough University MSc in Data Science from the University of Birmingham Full-time Data Scientist, with 3+ years tutoring experience DBS Enhanced Certificate for safe tutoring Who My Lessons Are For I specialise in GCSE & A-Level Maths and Science, supporting students aged 14–18. My lessons are ideal for: Students who struggle with challenging topics and need concepts explained clearly High-achievers aiming for top grades (7–9 / A–A)* Students who are after a passing grade Students looking for a tutor who understands both academic theory and real-world application
