About Sia
Hi! My name is Sia, and I’m a rising second-year college student studying Finance. I’ve always had a passion for helping others learn, whether it was working at Kumon or guiding my younger brother through math and English since he was in elementary school. I know how frustrating school can feel sometimes, and my goal is to make learning less stressful and more encouraging. I try to keep things clear, interactive, and comfortable, like you’re learning with a friend who’s got your back, but also knows how to get results. I’m super encouraging and always try to create a positive, judgment-free space, but I also make sure we stay on track and hit our goals.

As a tutor, I focus on building clarity, confidence, and critical thinking in both math and English by tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. I use a scaffolded approach—breaking down complex ideas into simpler parts—while encouraging discussion-based learning and active participation so the student isn’t just listening, but thinking and talking through problems with me. What sets me apart is my ability to make lessons feel more like a conversation than a lecture, helping students feel seen, heard, and supported as they learn. My sessions are ideal for elementary school to high school students who want to strengthen foundational skills, prepare for exams, or gain confidence in a subject they’ve struggled with.
