About Julia
Hello! I'm Julia, an MSc Finance student at the London School of Economics & Political Science. I have just graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1 in BSc Economics.
Throughout sixth form I was chosen by my teachers to tutor younger students of various age-groups, all the way from KS2 to A-level, and have privately tutored for the last 3 years across all exam boards. I've taken the subject at both GCSE and A-levels, alongside my recent university exams, always receiving top grades so I understand the meaning of hard work and would love to help you with that!
I have excellent organisation skills and can plan lessons ahead of time, alongside being very friendly and understanding that it takes time to absorb what you are being taught. As a student myself I believe it's easier to build a close relationship with my students, whilst remaining professional and making sure we are always progressing forward.

Julia regularly tutored me throughout year 12 and 13, helping boost my grades from A’s to A*’s in both my mocks and real exams in Maths and English Literature. One of her greatest strengths is her clear and concise communication skills, breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable terms. She helped me consolidate my gaps in course content, and she kept me motivated when I struggled, fostering an environment of trust and encouragement. I found it particularly helpful that she recently sat her own public exams, and shared a lot of both her materials and essays written by other students she’s tutored, to help show me examples on how to improve.
Julia was my tutor during my GCSE studies in Maths, English literature and English language. She tailored her approach to suit my individual learning style, ensuring each session was engaging, informative and productive. She always provided clear explanations, valuable resources, and constructive feedback (both throughout lessons and in any written work she marked), which greatly contributed to my understanding and confidence, and helped me achieve 9s in all 3 subjects in my final exams. She’s very friendly and patient, and made me feel very supported throughout the revision process!
I am happy to recommend Julia as a capable and effective tutor. Having observed her approach to teaching, I believe she possesses the necessary qualities to provide valuable support to her students.
Julia's solid academic background reflects her understanding of the subjects she teaches. Her ability to explain complex concepts in a straightforward manner is commendable, making her an effective communicator in an educational setting.
What sets Julia apart is her patient and approachable style. She creates a comfortable learning environment, encouraging students to ask questions and seek clarification without hesitation. Her friendly demeanor contributes to a positive and collaborative learning atmosphere.
Julia also demonstrates a commitment to staying informed about new teaching methodologies. Her openness to incorporating innovative techniques shows her dedication to continually improving her effectiveness as a tutor.View more recommendations
