About Adam
As a student I have always thoroughly enjoyed the study of maths and science, first sparked by the teachers I had at GCSE and A-level. I hope to be able to spark that same interest in my tutees. I am excited to share my knowledge in a clear and methodical way that my students can understand.
While at university I play hockey for the medical school, I also used to be a national level diver and play the trumpet in a few brass bands.

Having been a tutor now for 3 years, I have had the pleasure of tutoring many students in maths and science. I'm proud to say I have had multiple students go on to achieve grades of 8s and 9s at GCSE. In my experience I have found teaching a broad understanding of a topic to be far more effective than just teaching a method. I believe that this makes a student much more adaptable to different exam style questions & able to apply their knowledge with much greater effect.
While studying for exams I find it very useful to have a clear and structured plan of the content I will be covering. I'd like to employ this philosophy with my own teaching, utilising a clear lesson plan defined by the students strengths and weaknesses, with clear aims for each topic dependent on what you'd like to cover.
I will revise the content you would like to go through before every lesson and remain up to date with the syllabus in order to ensure that the time is used effectively in every lesson.
