About Charan
Hi, my name's Charan! I took Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Psychology in Sixth Form and am currently a 3rd year student studying Maths and Economics at the London School of Economics. Within my degree, I love some of the contrasts between the pure side of Maths and the qualitative, essay based questions in Economics. I've been tutoring for the past 2 years and I'm willing to put the time and effort to help you with whatever field (within Maths obviously!) that you're struggling in. The side of mathematics I especially enjoy is the applied, specifically is the use of modelling. Maths can be a dry subject, but once I started seeing the practical applications of what I was studying, especially within economics, I found it much easier to understand. The main advice I can give is to strike a balance between work and relaxation, to ensure you’re not too stressed during the exam. Thank you for reading my resumé and I look forward to meeting you!

• I will take time with explaining the subject with the help of graphing softwares like Desmos to illustrate the harder topics
• Typically, lessons will take around an hour - to give time to understand the topic, walking through some practice questions, and finishing with the student doing an exam style question to test their understanding
• I have over two years of tutoring experience with over 100 lessons taught and my students have gone on to achieve the grade in Mathematics they required to enrol on to their first choice university
• My lessons are for students studying GCSE, AS-Level or A-Level Maths and Further Maths

Charan was my daughter’s tutor during A Levels and he was able to help her with both Maths and Economics. He managed to help her achieve a higher grade than predicted, achieving an A*. He always came prepared, focused on exam techniques, and was a great support to her throughout mocks and final exams. I couldn’t recommend him more.
