About George
Hi! I’m George — a final year Law student at the University of Warwick with A* grades in French, History & Economics and Grade 8’s and 9’s including Maths, English, Triple Science and History. I specialise in helping GCSE History & English language students master essay writing, source analysis and exam technique through engaging & structured lessons. From experience, I remember the valuable difference that my tutors made when preparing for my GCSE & A-level exams, not just in helping me understand course content but in giving me the confidence to approach my exams with structure and perform under pressure. Combining my passion for explaining complex ideas clearly (and seeing that lightbulb moment when a student understands a difficult concept) with the broad range of tutoring styles to which I was exposed as a student is exactly why I would like to teach, sharing my love of learning with students who trust me with their time to make their academic journey more manageable. My promise to any student who chooses my service is clear and structured communication, targeted exam preparation and, most importantly, a sense of empathy as I was once in their shoes as a student who valued the importance of a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Tutoring style: I strongly believe that confidence grows from understanding and trust. I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging space where students feel supported to think independently. Each lesson focuses on clear objectives — whether that be tackling a source analysis History question or refining exam technique in English language papers. What to expect: 1. Step-by-step walkthroughs of key exam questions. 2. Real-time practice and guided feedback. 3. Visual aids including mind maps, presentation slides and model answers. 4. Consistent encouragement, empathy and tips to manage exam pressure. My goal is to help every student who trusts me with their time to see measurable progress after every lesson and, most importantly, to enjoy the journey along the way!
