About Meg

Hi! I’m Megan, a final-year Accounting and Finance student at the University of Bristol, currently on a professional placement year with Deloitte in Audit, where I’ve also been studying towards my ACA qualification. I’m originally from Cardiff and am a fluent Welsh speaker.

At A-level, I achieved three A*s in Maths, Psychology and Music. Alongside my degree, I’ve always enjoyed learning and challenging myself academically. Psychology was one of my favourite subjects, particularly the research methods element, as I enjoyed understanding how evidence is collected, analysed and applied. My background in maths and accounting has also strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I love sharing with others.

Teaching is something I’m genuinely passionate about. During my sister’s A-levels, I spent a lot of time helping her with her studies, and seeing her progress from achieving B grades to earning A*s was incredibly rewarding. Watching her confidence grow and seeing the difference that personalised support made inspired me to start tutoring.

I know that every student is different, and my goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop confidence in their own abilities. Whether you’re aiming to boost your understanding of a topic, prepare for exams or achieve top grades, I’d love to help you reach your goals.

About the lesson

I believe that truly understanding a topic is far more valuable than simply memorising facts or methods. Once you understand the reasoning behind a concept, you can apply that knowledge confidently to any question, rather than relying on memorised answers.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual’s learning style, pace and goals. I take the time to understand what works best for each student, whether that’s working through examples together, using visual explanations, practising exam-style questions or breaking complex topics into smaller, more manageable steps.
My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. I want every student to leave each session not only with the correct answers, but with a genuine understanding of the subject and the confidence to apply that knowledge independently.
