About Ankita
I am a Fifth Year Medical Student at University College London.
I have done A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and have past experience tutoring at the levels of GCSE and A Level.
Throughout my medical school training, I have been able to gain experience in communication and teaching. I have previously taught students GCSE Biology and English.
Additionally, I have mentored many students through their medical school application, including:
- advice regarding what medical schools look for in candidates
- how to write a compelling personal statement
- entrance exam training
- interview practice and advice
- answering any questions you may have about the process, or what it is like to be a medical student!

I take a very individual, student-centred approach to my teaching!
Before formally beginning lessons, I would like to listen to how you feel you learn best, what ideas you have for our tutoring sessions, and any concerns you may have.
Once we have agreed upon the content and structure of our lessons, I aim to help you develop a sound knowledge of the subject first. Through this we will improve your confidence! We will then focus on exam technique through test-style questions. I am very friendly and encourage you to ask questions- it is the best way to learn!
For students seeking help with medical school applications, we will work together to help you become the candidate that universities are looking for! I can help with advising what should include in personal statements and proofreading them, entrance exam preparation (UCAT and BMAT), interview practice, etc.
