About Srinivas
Chess is not just a game I play — it is something I have lived and breathed for years, and that dedication shows in how I teach. I know exactly what it feels like to sit across a board and not know what to do next, which is why I teach with patience, clarity, and zero judgment. Every student who comes to me gets my full attention — I do not follow a one-size-fits-all script. I listen, I observe how you think, and I build a learning path specifically around you. Parents can trust that their child is in safe, structured, and genuinely caring hands. Adults and college students can expect straight, no-nonsense coaching that respects their time and pushes them to improve every session. I show up prepared, I communicate openly, and I never let a student leave a class more confused than when they arrived. My reputation as a coach will be built one student at a time — and I take that responsibility seriously.

I am a dedicated and passionate chess player based in Bengaluru, with a competitive playing strength at the FIDE tournament level of 1700–1800, built through years of serious self-study, tactical training, and deep game analysis. I now channel that experience into coaching students of all ages — school children from age 6, college students, and working adults — whether they are absolute beginners picking up a piece for the first time or intermediate players looking to sharpen their competitive edge. My teaching approach is visual, interactive, and fully personalised — every concept is broken down step by step, with a strong focus on pattern recognition, tactical puzzles, and game review so that students genuinely understand the game rather than just memorising moves. Classes are conducted online via Chess.com or Lichess, both free and accessible on mobile or laptop, with Google Meet running alongside so I can view the student's screen in real time and guide every single move as it happens. A typical session covers 10 minutes of concept teaching, 20 minutes of guided game play or puzzle practice, and 10 minutes of game analysis and feedback. I also assign practice puzzles between sessions so improvement never stops. My goal is simple — to make every student fall in love with chess and grow with every game they play.
