I’m an international student from Singapore studying at UNSW. I’m based in Randwick, and have 2 cats and 1 puppy here! I’m friendly, patient, and believe that lessons should be engaging and interactive. Some of my hobbies include pickleball, playing the piano, and going to the gym!

I'm Hailey, an international student studying at UNSW. I’m from Singapore (native language is English). I scored straight A’s for my primary school leaving examinations, mostly A’s except for geography, and also scored within the top 5% of my high school during internal examinations consistently. I was in a selective middle school and high school and was in their talent development program for the top 5% of the cohort. I have experience tutoring peers and students since I was 17. I have also volunteered to tutor children with special needs such as dyslexia and ADHD and have volunteered with organizations and hospitals that work with people with mental health conditions. I am calm, patient, fun, and prepared for every lesson. I will do my due diligence when it comes to researching the NSW school curriculum and objectives of the curriculum to ensure that lessons stay relevant to the pupils. I will also review past exams and worksheets done by the pupil before the commencement of lessons; this is to ensure I have a grasp of the student’s level of understanding. I prepare a lesson plan, and sometimes worksheets as well for the lesson. If needed, I can also make notes for the students; however, I’d like to encourage and guide students on making notes themselves as it’s a good skill to have.
