About Seth
I hold a PhD in Biological Sciences and an MSc Microbiology and Immunology achieved respectively from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Nottingham. In addition, I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Edinburgh and have been inducted as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Students I have tutored have all gone on to achieve their learning goals and more importantly, passed their exams with excellence. They highly recommend my approach of linking the lessons to what is around us in the homes and environment and also, how I prepare their minds towards exams by linking the subject to past papers and potential future exams questions. My approach to teaching is customised to the individual needs of the student and in line with their set and shared learning objectives and goals. A typical tutoring will last an hour and integrates how the topic can be examined so that the student has an idea of how to make the link. I hold a PhD in Biological Sciences and an MSc Microbiology and Immunology achieved respectively from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Nottingham. In addition, I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Edinburgh and have been inducted as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I tutor high school students preparing for National 5, Advanced Higher and GCSE.
