About Simon

My teaching methodology for Singing is driven by Flexibility, Empathy, Compassion, Communication, and Collaboration. I treat every learner as a unique artist with a personal singing style and individual goals. My lessons start with understanding the student’s comfort zone, vocal abilities, and musical preferences. Once I know their needs, I design a learning plan that focuses on breath control, vocal clarity, pitch accuracy, smooth transitions, and expressive singing.

Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to the student’s progress. If a technique is difficult, I slow it down and change the method. If a student quickly understands a concept, I introduce more advanced exercises. Clear communication helps me guide learners step by step. I explain vocal concepts in simple language, demonstrate techniques, and offer supportive feedback that helps them improve without pressure.

Empathy and compassion help me build a positive learning atmosphere. Singing is a personal journey, and students need emotional support to grow. I encourage them, celebrate their progress, and help them overcome fear or hesitation. Collaboration plays a key role in planning lessons. I involve students in song selection, technique goals, and practice routines so they feel responsible and confident about their growth.

Besides Singing, I teach related subjects such as Music Theory, Basic Composition, Ear Training, Rhythm Skills, and Song Interpretation. These subjects give students a strong musical foundation that supports their vocal development. My teaching strategy focuses not just on technical skills but also on helping students enjoy music, express emotions through their voice, and grow into confident singers.

About the lesson

Picture yourself confidently performing a song you love, feeling every note and expressing emotion effortlessly. My teaching methodology, guided by Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity (MCIC), helps students reach that level of control and expression. I focus on motivation, encouraging students to set goals, celebrate small victories, and stay committed to regular practice.

Through communication, I create a safe and interactive environment where students can ask questions, share ideas, and receive feedback to improve tone, pitch, breathing, and phrasing. Integrity ensures honest evaluations, disciplined practice routines, and a respectful learning space. Creativity allows students to experiment with melodies, styles, and personal expression to develop a unique singing voice. Lessons also include music theory, rhythm, ear training, and stage presence to provide a holistic musical education.

Every lesson is customized to the student’s skill level, goals, and interests, blending structured exercises, improvisation, and interactive activities. This method enhances technical skill, confidence, performance readiness, and expressive ability. By combining MCIC principles with personalized guidance, I aim to help students grow as skilled, confident, and passionate singers.
