About Megan
I am a student going into my final year at Cardiff University, studying Politics and French and I am on track to achieve a high first class degree. Therefore, I tutor both Politics and French. I spent 3 years as a teenager living in Belgium and I spent a year studying Politics at one of the most prestigious universities in France which makes me well placed to tutor both French language, culture and international politics.
In addition to this, I am able to offer more general academic mentoring and personal development sessions. Having worked writing study-guides for students preparing for university interviews, I have experience in this and will be able to help. These sessions can include revision advice and tips, how to get the most out of studying and goal-setting.
Outside of working and studying, I am the President of the Erasmus Student Network in Cardiff, the Marketing Manager of Bright Futures, a career development society and a passionate advocate of travelling and learning languages.

I teach a wide variety of people and fully recognise that everyone is different and will require a different way of learning.
My sessions integrate a variety of activities which depend on the subject, the age of the student and the length of the session. However, I always begin the session with a dedicated time for asking questions, revising material from the previous session and talking through any extra reading or homework given.
I try to make my tutoring sessions as accessible and fun as possible by thinking outside the box with videos, interactive activities and games!
As you will see from my CV, I have work experience in a wide range of areas such as in NGOs, law firms, local government and as a researcher and tutor for students. Therefore, I always try to make my students aware of the wider implications and look at the topics from different angles and perspectives as this is how learning can fit into the wider picture of your future study and career.
