About Patricia
I take a different approach to both reading and writing by introducing more background information on your reading assignments and also your writing assignments. We focus on your material assigned but I give more background about the topic for writing and also the reading. Most literature understanding can benefit from knowing more about the life of the author and the time period they wrote both in and about.

My teaching philosophy is to make reading and writing fun and help you improve the skills that you have but do not want to use.
I want you to believe #1 that learning can be fun and #2 see what knowledge does for you. I want you to see what the future can be for you.
I have much experience in both high school and college level ELA that can help you reach the levels you are capable of attaining. I will push you towards improvement and excellence.
