About Mary
I am Reverend Mary Elizabeth Powell, elder in the Global Methodist Church, retired pastor of 27 years. I love saying "I am a daughter of the King!" I taught K-12 grades here in Texas for 30 years before attending Asbury Theological Seminary for my Master of Divinity degree. My specialties include teaching Bible studies to youth and adults in small groups such as Disciple Bible. I love to preach when the pastor where I volunteer goes on vacation. I have served often on Emmaus and Kairos teams. My greatest joy is to lead someone to begin their walk with Jesus.
My husband and I raised three girls in South Texas. They gave us seven grandchildren who gave us three great-grandchildren (two more are on the way).
