About Ava
My teaching experience has shown me that students enjoy learning more when they feel connected to the music they play. I like helping learners build skills while also encouraging creativity.
With a Music Degree and 11 years of teaching experience, I've worked with teenagers and adult students with different goals and abilities. These experiences have helped me understand how to make lessons supportive and enjoyable.
I love seeing students achieve small milestones, from playing their first song to creating their own music. Helping them enjoy the process is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching guitar.

My guitar lessons are designed to help you enjoy playing while developing strong musical skills. I keep classes flexible and adjust them to your experience, preferred style, and the type of music you want to learn.
We'll practise chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle playing, rhythm guitar, picking techniques, lead guitar skills, improvisation, songwriting basics, and music theory. We can work on favourite songs, create new ideas, or focus on improving a technique that feels challenging.
I'll give you simple practice steps and regular feedback to help you continue improving. As your playing develops, you'll gain more confidence and enjoy expressing yourself through the guitar.
