About Lena
I am a professional violin tutor with a Master’s degree in Music and over 10 years of experience in teaching and performing. My lessons emphasise both technical mastery and artistic expression. I have performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, which informs my teaching approach. Students develop strong posture, tone, bowing, and shifting techniques. I integrate music theory, ear training, and sight-reading for comprehensive development. Lessons are personalised to suit each student’s goals, whether performing, studying, or playing for enjoyment. I also focus on performance confidence, stage presence, and expressive interpretation. Students preparing for concerts or competitions benefit from mock performances and targeted coaching. My teaching style combines encouragement, constructive feedback, and structured learning. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace and learning style. Online and in-person lessons are available to accommodate different schedules. I include repertoire exploration, improvisation, and creative projects to keep learning engaging. My violin lessons for children are designed to nurture curiosity and creativity. With a Bachelor’s degree in Music and years of experience teaching young learners, I make lessons fun, interactive, and rewarding. Students learn through play-based exercises that encourage focus and enjoyment. I teach proper technique using stories, games, and songs that children love. Lessons start with posture, bow hold, and rhythm, gradually introducing melodies. Each child progresses at their own pace in a positive environment. Parents are encouraged to observe and support at home. I emphasise patience, praise, and small achievements to build confidence. My experience allows me to adapt lessons to each child’s personality and attention span. Learning the violin improves focus, coordination, and creativity. I include ear training and rhythm games for musical development. Lessons can be 30–60 minutes, depending on age and level. Online lessons are available for flexible schedules. I aim to make every student excited about music and proud of their progress. With time and encouragement, children not only learn to play but to love the violin.
