With my academic achievements and extracurricular activities, I believe that I have the qualifications and experience to help students reach their full potential.

During my high school years, I was the President of the Future Business Leaders of America and President of the National Honor Society. These leadership positions allowed me to develop communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills that I apply in my tutoring sessions. Additionally, I founded a Mental Health Awareness group for my greater area in High School, which helped me to share compassion with others in my community. I completed high school in the top 1 percent of my graduating class and was named to the National Merit Scholarship. When it comes to standardized tests, I scored in the 99th percentile of SAT test takers, specifically with a 99th percentile score in the math section. These results demonstrate my strong academic background and ability to excel in rigorous academic settings.

Currently, I am on the Dean's list at Vanderbilt University, which is highly ranked as top 10 in the United States for its academic excellence. Being able to maintain such a high academic standing in a challenging university environment showcases my discipline, dedication, and ability to balance academic and extracurricular activities effectively.

About the lesson

As a tutor who uses online zoom calls to my student's advantage, my teaching method and techniques focus on maximizing their time in busy schedules. I begin by assessing the student's current understanding of the subject and identifying their learning goals. I then create a personalized lesson plan tailored to their needs, which includes a mix of concept explanation, problem-solving strategies, and practice exercises.

During the lesson, I use screen-sharing technology to show examples of problems and solutions while explaining the underlying concepts. I also encourage students to ask questions and provide real-time feedback to ensure that they are understanding the material. Additionally, I use interactive tools such as online whiteboards and chat features to facilitate engagement and make the learning experience more dynamic.

My typical lesson plan starts by laying out the main objective for the session, followed by reviewing any homework assignments or questions from the previous session. I then work through example problems with my screen shared for my students, so they can see my approach and thought process. After this, I guide my students in working on similar problems on their own, allowing them to apply the concepts we just learned. Lastly, I provide feedback and suggestions to help them improve their skills.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my top 1 percentile scores on the SAT and many fives on AP exams. I also graduated in the top 1 percent of my high school class and was named a National Merit Scholar. Additionally, I am currently attending a top 20 ranked university in the world. These achievements demonstrate my deep knowledge and understanding of the subjects that I teach, and my ability to effectively convey this information to my students.

My lessons are primarily for elementary and middle school students to grasp any subject area they need additional help within. I also work with high school students who are seeking to improve their grades or prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and AP exams. I specialize in mathematics subjects all the way up through the end of the AP curriculum. I also specialize in English and scored 5's on both AP English Literature and AP English Language. I am committed to helping students at all levels, from those struggling to grasp the basics to those striving for advanced knowledge and academic excellence.
