About LISA

Hi! I'm Thương, a Vietnamese teacher from Hanoi – the heart of Vietnam's culture.

I'm a patient, cheerful, friendly tutor who is passionate about helping international learners speak Vietnamese naturally and confidently.

In my lessons, I use real-life stories and everyday conversations to help you not only improve your Vietnamese, but also understand the culture behind the language. Whether you're focusing on grammar or communication, I will always tailor the lessons to what you need most — so that you can see fast and meaningful progress.

I’ve worked with students from Japan, South Korea, the U.S., Germany, China, and more – helping them not only master the Vietnamese language but also deeply understand the culture and people of Vietnam.

I teach in the Northern Vietnamese accent (Hanoi dialect). I also speak English (TOEIC 800+) and Japanese (JLPT N2), which allows me to explain difficult concepts in an easy and understandable way.

Outside of teaching, I love traveling, exploring, and taking international friends to discover local food, cultural sites, and hidden gems around Hanoi.

I hold a professional certificate in Teaching Vietnamese as a Foreign Language.

With over 5 years of experience, I have taught students of all levels – from absolute beginners to advanced learners aiming to use Vietnamese for work and daily life.

Perfect! After 12 months of travelling to Vietneam i still couldn't count to 10. I'd become lazy, relying on others to talk to me in English. He absorbs information quickly, participates enthusiastically, and is always ready to practice to enhance his communication skills. However, he could focus more on expanding his conversational vocabulary to gain greater confidence in real-life situations. With his plan to retire in Vietnam in 5 years, a schedule of one lesson per week is well-suited to help him steadily achieve his goal. I deeply appreciate his eagerness to learn and look forward to our upcoming sessions!
