About Visakan
Hi, I’m Visakan — a medical student at Queen Mary University of London with a passion for helping others succeed in Maths and Chemistry. I'm a 3 A* student who went to one of the best schools in the country. I know both subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming, but I believe with the right support every student can make real progress. As a young, reliable tutor, I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where mistakes are seen as part of learning, not something to worry about. Students often tell me that my patience and clear explanations make topics far easier to understand. I enjoy building confidence step by step and celebrating improvements, no matter how small, so that each student feels motivated and capable.

My approach to tutoring is focused on making Maths simple, structured, and tailored to each student. I break down complex topics into manageable steps and use plenty of exam-style practice to build both understanding and confidence. As a university student who completed GCSEs and A-Levels just a few years ago, I understand the challenges students face and know effective ways to overcome them, like I did myself. I achieved A*s in A-Level Maths and Chemistry with a 96% exam average, along with Grade 9s at GCSE. I also have several years of experience supporting students one-to-one and through school Maths clinics. My lessons are designed for KS3, GCSE, and AS-Level students of all abilities — whether you’re aiming for top grades or looking to build confidence in the basics.
