About Nilesh

I am a PhD in Computer Science from the well-known institution IIIT Delhi, and I want to teach mathematics because I am passionate about numbers and I want to help others learn and grow. I am also motivated by the challenge of teaching students of all levels and helping them reach their full potential.

I am a qualified and experienced teacher, and I have a personalised teaching methodology that is tailored to the individual needs of each student. I am also committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment. I want to make a difference in the world and help others succeed. I enjoy working with students and helping them learn and grow. I enjoy being creative and coming up with new and innovative ways to teach. I want to make a living doing something that you love.

No matter what my reasons for wanting to teach, it is important to be clear about my motivation. This will help me to stay focused and motivated on my journey to becoming a great teacher.

About the lesson

Love to teach a small group to give a very friendly and joyful environment to learn maths.

My approach to tutoring is to focus on the individual needs of each student. I start by assessing their current level of understanding and then develop a personalised plan to help them reach their goals. I use a variety of teaching methods, including explicit instruction, guided practice, and independent work. I also encourage students to ask questions and to be actively involved in their learning.

Some of the specific techniques and teaching methodologies I use include:

Differentiation: I differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of all learners. This may involve providing different levels of support, different learning materials, or different activities.
Explicit instruction: I provide clear and concise explanations of new concepts. I also break down complex tasks into smaller, more manageable steps.

Guided practice: I work with students to complete practice problems and assignments. I provide feedback and support as needed.

Independent work: I give students opportunities to work independently on problems and assignments. This helps them to develop their problem-solving skills and to become more confident learners.

Typical length of a lesson:

The typical length of a lesson is 60 minutes. However, I am flexible and can adjust the length of the lesson to meet the needs of the student.

My qualifications/experience as a tutor:

I have been tutoring students of all ages and levels for over 20 years. I have a PhD, Master of Science and Bachelor of Engineering degrees in Computer Science.

I teach students of all ages and levels, from elementary school to college.

Here is an example of how I might teach a lesson on fractions to a fifth-grade student: I would start by asking the student what they already know about fractions. Then, I would introduce the concept of fractions using concrete materials, such as fraction circles or fraction bars. I would explain how to represent fractions on a number line and how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. I would also provide the student with opportunities to practice working with fractions through problem-solving activities and games. Throughout the lesson, I would assess the student's understanding and provide feedback as needed. I would also make sure to keep the lesson engaging and relevant to the student's interests.

My goal is to help all of my students succeed and to develop a love of learning.
