About Alexander
I recently graduated the University of Oxford with First Class Honours in Philosophy and German, as well as numerous prizes in my finals. I have been tutoring part-time for over three years, accruing around nine hundred hours of experience and travelling as far as Shanghai in the process.
To me, education is an adventure which can often take you in unexpected directions. Even when guided by syllabi, there will always be unexpected ideas which leap out at you and completely change your way of understanding a field. For this reason, I am always happy to take on passionate, intellectually curious students aiming for the very best futures.

I have longstanding experience guiding sixth form students through A-Level to university admissions in four different subjects, with many going on to attain Oxbridge offers.

None of these fields exists in a vacuum. I believe you can only really begin to make sense of them at the depth required for higher education by taking a thoroughly multi-disciplinary approach. My teaching is strongly dialogue-based but also gives students ample opportunity to cover material in depth and practise their technique. Components include:

— Development of exam technique
— Application of analytical rigour
— In-depth exploration of the syllabus
