About Ruth
Do you ever feel like biology is just too much information to memorize for a single exam? I simplify the circulatory system, photosynthesis and respiration, cell biology, evolution and natural selection, genetics and inheritance, lab report writing, data analysis, graphs, and exam technique. My 4.0 years of experience and my BS Physics degree from Princeton allow me to approach biological data with a unique analytical perspective. I find the clarity of logical deduction makes studying these systems quite fun.

"Is it possible to view complex biological systems as interconnected mechanical parts rather than endless lists of vocabulary? My teaching philosophy relies on understanding the underlying process to explain why evolution and genetics function the way they do. Students receive weekly practice questions with feedback to reinforce their grasp of the circulatory system or cell biology.
We will look at data analysis as a way to tell a story about the organisms we study. You will find that writing lab reports becomes much faster once the data is clearly mapped out."
