About Amanda
Growing up in a Brazilian-American household, I’ve always loved exploring new languages and cultures. My decade-long journey with Korean began with a B.A. in Asian Languages and Literature, which led to a Fulbright Grant teaching on Jeju Island. To deepen my skills, I later earned an M.A. in Korean for Professionals from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
Since then, I’ve had the joy of managing the Korean Language Program at The Korea Society in NYC, where I created speaking-focused materials for over 300 learners. Now working as an administrator at NYU, I still spend my free time tutoring Korean. My goal is simply to share my love for the language, using my background to create supportive, tailored lessons that make learning Korean feel accessible and rewarding.
