About Charlyn

Heyyy! I’m Charlyn, an ESL teacher from the Philippines, and I’ve been helping students slay their English goals for 5+ years now. I’ve got a Bachelor’s in Education and a TEFL cert, so yeah, I know my stuff but trust me, my classes are anything but boring. I’m all about keeping things fun, practical, and lowkey addictive (in a good way, of course). When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me vibing to music, lost in a good book, or journaling my random thoughts. And yup, I bring all that creative energy into my lessons think storytelling, music, and writing that actually makes sense in real life. Oh, and plot twist I’m also a business owner! I run my own coffee shop and clothing store (because why stop at just one passion, right?). My love for fashion turned into a boutique, and my inner CEO mode gives me a solid grip on business English and real-world communication. How I Teach English (The Vibe Explained) Hey, I’m an English tutor and here’s how I do things My method I use CEFR levels — from A1 to C2 — to figure out where you are and where you wanna go. We don’t just do boring grammar drills. I teach through convos, real-life tasks, and things that actually make sense in your world. We’ll talk, write, listen, and read. All mixed. I explain things clearly and we practice together. No pressure. Just progress. A typical lesson? We start chill with a warm-up (could be a meme, a convo, or a quick vocab check) Then we hit the topic — grammar or vocab depending on your level You’ll practice it through speaking, writing, or short tasks I’ll give feedback (kind but honest lol) And you’ll leave the lesson knowing what you’ve improved What makes me different? I make lessons feel safe, not scary I meet you where you’re at I’ve worked with kids, college students, professionals, and even IELTS test takers And I actually care if you grow Who is this for?
