About Sandra
I am a dedicated Chemistry Tutor with 6 years of teaching experience, helping students develop a strong understanding of chemistry from K-12 through the first year of college. Over the years, I have worked with learners at different academic levels, abilities, and learning speeds, which has helped me develop a flexible and student-centered teaching approach.
My goal is to make chemistry understandable, practical, and less intimidating. I explain challenging ideas in clear language and connect theoretical concepts with examples that make them easier to visualize and remember. Whether you are struggling with basic chemistry or facing more advanced topics, I adjust my lessons according to your individual needs.
I can support students with atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, equations, stoichiometry, acids and bases, solutions, thermochemistry, organic chemistry, and other core areas. I also assist with homework, assignments, revision, and examination preparation.

My chemistry lessons are designed to make complex topics simple, engaging, and easier to remember. I teach students from K-12 through the first year of college, adapting every lesson to their current level, learning pace, and academic goals.
We begin by identifying areas that need improvement and then build understanding step by step. Rather than relying only on memorisation, I focus on helping students understand why chemical principles work. Lessons can cover atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, equations, stoichiometry, acids and bases, solutions, thermochemistry, organic chemistry, and other essential topics.
