About Hilda
I am a passionate and dedicated Chemistry tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience, helping students at GCSE, A-Level, and University level strengthen their understanding and achieve academic success. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex chemical concepts into manageable, easy-to-understand explanations that match each student’s learning style and pace.
Throughout my experience, I have supported learners with organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry while helping them improve confidence, critical thinking, and examination performance. My chemistry lessons are carefully designed to make learning engaging, structured, and easy to understand for students at GCSE, A-Level, and University level. Every session is tailored according to the student’s academic needs, learning pace, and examination requirements. I focus on building a strong understanding of essential chemistry topics, including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry through clear explanations and guided practice.
Lessons are interactive and encourage students to ask questions freely, helping them gain confidence in challenging concepts. I use real-life examples, visual explanations, problem-solving techniques, and exam-based questions to strengthen understanding and improve application skills. Students also receive support with calculations, chemical equations, reaction mechanisms, laboratory concepts, and scientific reasoning.
Special attention is given to exam preparation by covering past paper questions, mark scheme techniques, and effective revision strategies. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to develop curiosity and confidence in chemistry. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for important examinations, or aiming for top academic performance, lessons are adapted to suit individual goals.
