I'm a British Economics graduate from the University of Bath with over 3,000 hours of one-to-one tutoring experience across GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate level. I know every major UK exam board inside out — Edexcel, AQA, OCR — and I know exactly how examiners think, what they reward, and where most students lose marks unnecessarily.

About the lesson

My Teaching Method

Every student learns differently, which is why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Before we begin, I take time to understand exactly where your child is, what's holding them back, and what they need to achieve — then I build every lesson around that.

At the core of my teaching is critical thinking. Rather than simply drilling facts and formulas, I help students develop the ability to analyse, question, and apply knowledge independently — skills that don't just improve exam grades, but stay with them through university and into their careers.

My sessions typically include:

1) Concept breakdown — complex ideas explained clearly and simply, until
they genuinely click
2) Homework support — working through problems together so your child understands the process, not just the answer
3) Exam technique — learning how to approach questions strategically and communicate answers effectively
4) Regular progress checks — so we always know what's working and where to focus next

The goal isn't just to get through the syllabus. It's to build a student who feels genuinely confident in the subject — someone who can walk into an exam, or a university seminar, and hold their own.
