About Siya
I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Biotechnology. My passion is marine biology, especially the unique ecosystems of the deep ocean. I am fascinated by hydrothermal vents, bioluminescence, and extreme adaptations of deep-sea life. Exploring the challenges of ocean research excites me, from high pressure to cold temperatures. In my lessons, I help students understand biodiversity and ecological processes in these extreme environments. Complex concepts are broken down into simple, engaging explanations. I encourage curiosity, exploration, and critical thinking. Lessons include real scientific examples to make learning relatable.
