About Nisreen
I am a second year medical student with a long-standing, keen interest in Mathematics since Secondary School. This, coupled with my passion for teaching, has allowed me to develop my skills in this very demanding niche.
I have always been fascinated with how young students learn and am particularly interested in how they can be helped in a manner that brings them sound understanding of mathematical concepts and provides them a wholesome learning experience.
My work ethic by nature has been consistently organised. Thus, the more time I spend with my students, the more I learn about them – which I use to plan my lessons for them in terms of how much time I allocate for specific lessons, which approach suits the student best, does the student require specific exam adaption techniques, are they visual, auditory or kinesthetic learners, etc. All of this not only helps me track our coverage, but also the student’s progress.
As a teacher at my local Arabic school, I recognise the importance of empathizing with my students. Hence, I am determined to help them improve and excel with utmost patience. This involves maintaining a healthy relationship with my students; so they can freely express their challenges to me and also trust me to help them realize their potential which would be detrimental to both my success as a teacher, and my student’s.
My commitment towards helping students achieve their full abilities is unparalleled. As I always have, I plan to put their needs at the forefront of my priorities.
