About Jake
I am a former High School Math teacher and have been tutoring Math and ESL for over twenty years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, a CELTA certification from Cambridge University and a Colorado Teaching License. I am also a professional Ski Instructor PSIA I.
I am confident that anyone can learn Math if only given the right approach. Every mind is unique and the way every person learns and understands Math is a little different. It's my goal to find the the way that is perfect for you and you specifically.

I believe that Mathematics is a Language that anyone can learn. I have been tutoring math for over 20 years and I've never found a student I could not help.
My lessons are completely personalized drawing from multiple teaching techniques that I've honed over the years. I try to teach in the way that works best for you.
A typical structure I may use is an "I do - We do - You do" approach where I first demonstrate a problem(s), then guide you through another, and finally let you practice yourself.
My specialties are Trigonometry and Calculus (all levels) though I also offer tutoring for all math from High School Algebra 1 through Upper University courses including Real/Complex Analysis and Ordinary/Partial Differential Equations.
