About Mark
I studied piano, clarinet, singing and music theory but when I went to university, these things fell somewhat by the wayside as I pursued other career choices. In 2014, I decided I would like to work for myself and a new career in music was the obvious choice. I know what it's like to make mistakes; I know what it's like to be rather afraid of the piano...but I also know how to turn trepidation into confidence; cautiousness into enjoyment and mathematics into music.

My first question to any potential client is, "What do you want from piano?" Getting to know one another and discovering your previous and current relationship with music (if any) means I can better help you to achieve what you want. That may be an initial "let's see if I like it" approach; a hobby; picking up in adult life what you stopped doing as a child; mindfulness; relaxation; a disciplined approach to exams or perhaps more focused and professional advice specific to projects you may be working on. I like to adapt my approach depending on what we both feel will work. I learn from every piano player I meet; the more I learn from you, the more you'll learn from me. There is no judgement here. I work with any genre of music, and everybody is welcome!
