About Bec

Hi, I’m Bec! I’m a current WA secondary teacher who is genuinely passionate about helping students feel more confident and capable in their learning. I know that school can feel overwhelming for many teenagers, especially when they lose confidence in themselves or feel like they’re falling behind. I love being able to support students in a more personal, one-on-one environment where they can ask questions without pressure and build confidence at their own pace.

About the lesson

I take a supportive, practical and personalised approach to tutoring. I understand that every student learns differently, and many students struggling at school are often lacking confidence or the right support — not ability. My goal is to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and improving at their own pace.

I am a current WA secondary teacher with experience teaching:

Year 7–10 English and Health
OLNA and NAPLAN preparation
Year 11–12 ATAR Health Studies
Study skills and assessment support

I also have experience marking WACE exams, giving me strong insight into exam expectations, assessment structure, and how students can maximise marks.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and may focus on literacy skills, exam preparation, assignment help, study habits, confidence-building, or helping disengaged students reconnect with learning. I use clear explanations, scaffolded support, and practical strategies that students can apply directly in the classroom.

Typical lessons run for 60 minutes. I work with students from Year 7–12 and particularly enjoy helping students who may struggle with confidence, motivation, anxiety, ADHD, or traditional classroom environments.
