About Elena
I’m a third-year Neurobiology student at UC San Diego with extensive experience tutoring K–12 students in reading, math, chemistry, and biology. I’m passionate about helping students grow academically and build confidence. Key qualifications and experience: - Tutored math, chemistry, and biology to fellow students throughout high school and my gap year - Top scores in AP Calculus BC and AP Biology - Two years tutoring students ages 6–12 below grade-level expectations in reading - Collaborative approach working closely with both students and parents Outside of academics, I work in a neuroscience lab studying the efficacy of hallucinogens in treating schizophrenia. For Parents I truly enjoy working with students of all ages and appreciate the academic, social, and emotional challenges at every stage of childhood development. Every age is unique, I believe a strong support system is essential for growth.
