I have considerable experience teaching English up to "A" level standard in secondary education, and I have over twenty years experience to draw upon.

One to one teaching, by its nature, is very intense, so it is very important to introduce variety as much as possible. A mixture of written work, as well as oral work, if required, is essential to keep the tutee focused and interested in what you are teaching. It helps, sometimes, after an intense session for the tutee to have a short break, before continuing.
