About Essence
After almost a decade of test prep experience, I am comfortable describing myself as an experienced tutor who loves working with high school and college students. While my day job is in the life sciences, I consider the time I spend helping people learn as some of the most impactful moments.

I use questions from actual ACT tests to not only identify gaps in learning but to help students figure out how to 'decode' the questions. Most students have the basic knowledge but find themselves struggling with the fundamental meaning of the questions. We discuss this and strategies for approaching unfamiliar information. My goal is for your student to feel confident in themselves and ready to take on the ACT!
