About Sarah
Hi, I'm Sarah! I've spent years tutoring students from elementary through junior high, along with ESL learners preparing for standardized tests, and I know firsthand that learning isn't just about content — it's about confidence.
My approach is simple: meet each student where they are. I take the time to understand how a student learns best, then build lessons around that instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all method. Sessions are structured but flexible — we review, learn something new, practice it together, and always end with a clear sense of progress. I check in frequently to make sure concepts are actually sticking, not just covered.
What I care about most is helping students trust their own ability to learn. Many of the students I work with haven't lost the skill — they've lost the confidence. My goal is to help them rebuild both.
I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals, one session at a time.

My Teaching Method
I use a personalized, student-led approach — identifying how each student learns best (visual, hands-on, repetition) and adjusting pacing in real time based on their understanding, not a fixed script.
A Typical Lesson
We start with a quick review, move into new material through guided practice, check understanding along the way, and close with a recap and a clear goal for next session.
What Sets Me Apart
I focus on building confidence, not just content knowledge — many students need to trust their own ability to learn before the skills stick. I also bring specific experience with ESL students preparing for standardized tests.
Who My Lessons Are For
Elementary through junior high students in core subjects, and ESL learners preparing for standardized tests — especially those needing extra foundational support or feeling anxious about a subject.
