I took violin lessons as an adult beginner with Sandra for a couple of years. Sandra was enormously understanding of my initial fears toward the instrument and helped me grow to love an instrument that I had owned for several years yet never gotten the nerve to actually try to play. She has great tips for breaking through performance/practicing anxiety and after lessons frequently sends follow-up emails with interesting links or attachments of other exercises to try. She worked with me on bowing technique as well as finger dexterity; her long performance history makes her an excellent resource for learning ergonomic techniques for playing string instruments. I think for both children and adult beginners, as well as for people who want to take their technique to the next level, Sandra is an excellent choice of teacher.
