I’ve had the pleasure of working with him for 9 years and not only is he an impressive, talented, world-class violinist, thoroughly experienced at the professional level and having played in some of America’s grandest concert halls and beyond, he is, to me, an even greater teacher and mentor. He truly cares for his students and develops a professional, yet friendly relationship that only enhances the learning experience. He taught me from the very beginning of my pursuits in the violin, teaching me things like proper posture and bow-hold, to more advanced, intermediate work, such as how to continue incorporating musical feeling and emotion as rhythms become more challenging to perfect. I’ve learned so much throughout the years from Mr. Newberger and his love for violin and music is quite infectious. I cannot recommend Mr. Newberger enough.
