About Pablo

I am a studio and performing musician. I play both classical and popular music including standard and Latin Jazz. I have recorded in multiple Grammy nominated and winning albums with highly recognized Latin musicians. Currently, I am a violin and guitar instructor with the Silverlake Conservatory of Music located in Hollywood and The Harmony Project in Los Angeles.

I feel very fortunate and privileged to be able to do what I love the most as I truly believe that music is the most amazing and personally rewarding gift people can have in their lives. Music is the most universal language that can really connect people around the world. I enjoy sharing my skills and passion for music with anyone who appreciates it.

Music means everything to me and has given me many satisfaction in my life. It literally saved my life by getting me out of my country during the war we had in my country El Salvador by getting an scholarship to study a master's degree in music.

When I was a student in San Diego State University, my violin teacher suggested that I should teach and he started giving my name to parents that were looking for violin teachers for their children.

I use my thirty years of teaching experience, my forty years of working as a classical and popular musician.

About the lesson

Besides working and emphasizing on a good violin and bow posture, the fingers on the strings, communication and trust is very important, including the parent if the student is a minor.

In the first lesson, I teach the student to how to produce a good sound on the violin too. I use my own violin method.

All kind of students, all ages. People that are serious about becoming professionals, people that take it as a hobby and parents that want music as a extra curriculum in their children's education.

I think is important that the teacher should be a performer too and has some degree of teaching experience. Chemistry between the students and teachers helps a lot too.
