About Erica
Hello I am a 28 year old The University of Tennessee graduate offering violin lessons to beginners -or to beginners who have been playing a few years and need a little more help.
I offer competitive pricing. Lessons are held in my home, If you prefer, I can come to you if we worked out some compensation for gas depending on how far way you are.
I myself have been taught by many great violinists including Lynette Thredgold and Dove Shupe.
I have been playing the violin since I was in 5th grade. Starting in 7th grade I became first violinist of my junior high orchestra and have been a first chair violinist in many different concert orchestras, chamber orchestras. I was also a violinist in the The University of Tennessee Tetra String Quartet class. I was voted most inspirational musician by the peers in my orchestra in high school. I have also been a part of an Orchestra and it's performances in Celle, Germany where I lived and studied for 1 year.
I love music and teaching and would love to help develop someones passion for music and playing the violin. I think a good teacher should create a fun and motivating environment for someone to learn well in. I am open to teaching all ages and have a lot of experience teaching younger children as well.
