I started in high school with neighborhood kids asking to study with me and this led to nearly continuous teaching over three decades and continues into the present.

BA degree in music, Stanford University;

Graduate work in Viola performanc and Violin Pedagogy, Indiana University;

Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, Pailard Chamber Music Festival

About the lesson

Complimentary lesson/ interview/ audition to determine if student is a good fit for Ossia Musical Forum. Personalzed conversation about background, goals and work process.

Dedicated adults and teens intermediate level and above (at least 5 years of study) , especially those with an interest in chamber music and orchestral playing.

Have an in-depth discussion with the teacher to see if your temperament and commitment level match the philosophy and intensity of the studio you are considerig joining.

Being a faculty member from 2012-17 at the Interharmony International Music festival in Arcidosso and Aqui Terme, ITALY.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
If you can imagine playing the violin or viola 5-6 days per week for the next 10 years and beyond, the process will be incredibly rewarding. If you give up easily or change passions frequently, these instruments are not for you.
